Week in Review
I was able to get on a Zoom call with Monsignor Michael Clay, one of the diocesan experts on the OCIA process. It was great listening to him and continue to grow deeper in this means of catechesis and evangelization.
In the news:
Pope Leo XIV spoke to the FAO, reminding us that slogans don´t make peace. As Christians, we have to work for justice for all people, not as a political maneuver but as an outpouring of Christian charity.
Best YouTube Video of the Week: Getting ready for World Mission Sunday, I have to recommend this video from Pope Leo XIV. It is great to see him using the new media to promote evangelization.
Best Podcast of the Week: If you can mentally filter some of the language, I really appreciated this interview that Simon Sinek did of the actor Rob Lowe. Sinek´s podcast, A Bit of Optimism, is usually worth a listen.

What I am reading: Battle Cry of Freedom, by James McPherson. It is an excellent read on the Civil War. I am still about a quarter of the way through. It is a fascinating read.
